The quality of the John B. Ervin Scholars Program depends on attracting outstanding applicants and Alumni help us to find them. We are looking for high school students (grades 9-12) who perform well in high school, carry a strong and solid program of college preparatory courses, and contribute to their school or community. Ervin Scholars should embody the spirit of John B. Ervin and continue his legacy in the Washington University Community.
For more information on the type of student we are looking for, please see Eligibility.
If you know of students who would be interested in learning more about Washington University in St. Louis and the John B. Ervin Scholars Program, please fill out the "Refer A Student" Form.
Participate in Undergraduate Activities
Ervin Alumni are always invited to participate in undergraduate activities, particularly Fall Orientation and Winter Retreat. Ervin Alumni are also encouraged to return for our annual Ervin Bench Commemoration in the Fall and Reunion Weekend in the Spring. When Alumni visit campus, they are encouraged stop by the Office of Scholar Program in the Women's Building, Suite 005.
Alumni, if you are interested in presenting or volunteering at any Ervin Undergraduate Activities, please use this form.
Alumni are invited to network with each other and current Ervin Scholars. A great way to do this is by letting us know when they are visiting campus. We are more than happy to set up a time for them to meet with undergraduates and share their stories and advice. From time to time, the program director hosts Ervin alumni and family events in various cities across the United States. This is a great opportunity for alumni and family to reconnect and stay updated about Washington University and the Ervin Program.
The financial support of Ervin Alumni helps strengthen the current endeavors of the John B. Ervin Scholars Program, and helps to reinforce its foundation for the future. If Ervin Alumni, Ervin Parents or Friends of the Ervin Scholars Program would like to make a financial contribution to the Program, please click here. On the first drop down menu, please select "University Programs, Centers, and Institutes", then select "Ervin Scholars" in the second drop down.
